Challenge
Existing short-term housing platforms often struggle with high costs and reliability issues, as they depend on individual property owners. This can lead to inconsistent quality and availability, making it challenging for users to find affordable and dependable accommodations.
Outcome
Offering a platform where users can find reliable and affordable properties, while seamlessly managing leases or subleases, eliminates the unpredictability of individual property listings. This solution provides consistency and trust, streamlining the process of securing short-term accommodations.
Creating an account
The user creates an account by filling in their information. They can add preferences for the type of accommodation, which will be remembered when they search for properties.
Searching for a place
When searching for a place to stay, the user inputs the location, dates of their stay, and the number of people staying at the property.
Filtering places
The user can filter by neighborhood, price, and property style to ensure they find a place that fits their needs.
Booking a place
Once the user finds a place they like, they can view more details about the property, including reviews, amenities, and commute times. If everything looks good, they can proceed to book their accommodation.
The need for short-term housing is bigger than ever
Through interviews, secondary research, and persona creation, I discovered the growing need for short-term housing. Interviews revealed the challenges faced by individuals requiring temporary accommodations, while secondary research provided data on trends and demands.
A gap in the current market
I found a significant gap in the current market for short-term housing through my research. Existing platforms often lack reliability and affordability, leaving users with limited options.
Quarters will fill this gap by offering dependable, cost-effective solutions tailored to diverse needs, providing a seamless experience for those seeking temporary accommodations.
